Police arrest suspected drug dealer hiding in garden


Essex Police have arrested a 36-year-old male on Saturday night on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

The suspect tried to give Essex Operational Support Group the slip but was caught hiding in a garden in Southend.

Despite the suspect relaying false information to officers fingerprinting confirmed he has previous history.

He is remanded in custody pending court appearance.

OSG Police tweeted at 11.15am: “More support to local policing teams, this time in Southend. 36 year old male found hiding in a garden, gave details however the fingerprint device confirmed officers suspicions. False details provided. “
