Man had bottle of beer ‘smashed over his head’ near Letchworth Garden City shopping parade


A man had a bottle of beer “smashed over his head” during a physical altercation in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.

The incident is believed to have involved a number of men on Friday, September 17 at around 5.45pm, taking place outside the parade of shops in Ivel Court.

One man had a beer bottle “smashed over his head” which caused minor lacerations, according to Herts Police.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any more information about the incident.

Detective Constable Sarah Meacock, who is investigating, said: “We have carried out initial enquiries and CCTV footage suggests there were a number of people in the area at the time of the assault.”
